The college football season’s last weekend has arrived, and the matchups couldn’t be more important.
The College Football Playoff has actual drama. The top four teams in the rankings have one more game to clinch or strengthen their positions, while two formidable teams are waiting in the wings to possibly advance to the semifinals.
The SEC championship game pits the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs against the No. 14 LSU Tigers. For the Big Ten championship, the Purdue Boilermakers will take against the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines. In the Big 12 championship, the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs take on the No. 10 Kansas State Wildcats, while in the Pac-12 final, the No. 4 USC Trojans face the No. 11 Utah Utes.
Regardless of what happens in Atlanta, the Bulldogs are probably guaranteed a spot. However, any additional mistakes would return the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide to the fray.
